How do I view the news the headlines are displaying on the left hand side of the site?
Click on the news heading you want to read and it will take you to the full story on our news page. Alternatively click the news link in the menu at the top of the site.
What is the Monthly Masterpiece?
The monthly masterpiece award is given out at the beginning of each month to 1 artist from each of our gallery categories.. This accolade is awarded to people we think have excelled in their particular field of work and produced something truly outstanding. All gallery submissions are considered for this award.
How do I leave a suggestion for Art Squared?
At the bottom left hand corner of the home page is a note which when filled in and sent will go straight to our HQ for consideration.
How do I submit Artwork for the Art Squared book Series?
All work submitted by registered users of the Art Squared community gallery are considered for book entry. However at certain points in the year we run promotions to encourage book submission these will be displayed on the banner advertising throughout the site.

This is similar to an about us section you might see on other websites.
This section is designed to give you an overview in to what Art Squared is, stands for and how it all started, You can also meet the team and see the faces that are behind the site and book.
Joining the Art Squared Community
It is simple to sign up to the Art Squared Community, just click the green ‘JOIN NOW’ button on the home page and follow the onscreen instructions.
Is Art Squared free to join and use?
Yes, Art Squared standard account is free to sign up to and use.
Art Squared Community Profiles and Account Details
I lost my password, how do I retrieve it?
You can retrieve your password by clicking the ‘Forgot password’ button underneath the Registered users login box on the Community page and entering the email address you submitted when you signed up to the Art Squared community.
How do I change my login password?
Once logged into your Art Squared Community account you need to click on your control panel on the left hand side of the page. At the bottom of your control panel you will see a change password section. You need to enter your old password then the new password you want to use, once you have confirmed your new password you need to click the ‘change password’ button.
Using the Art Squared Community Gallery
Click on the category you wish to upload your picture to underneath the categories banner on the community home page.
Once on the category you wish to upload to you will notice an upload button in the top right hand corner of that section. Click the upload button and fill in all the relevant information and submit your picture.
Can I create my own thumbnail for an uploaded image?
Yes, When submitting an image you will notice a thumbnail file section underneath the main image file section. You can crop or resize your image to your liking and upload it here. The thumbnail size is 100px x 100px and no larger than 100kb.
If you would rather us create a thumbnail for you our system will automatically resize your picture to our maximum width of 100px upon upload of your main image.
How do I comment or rate another users image?
Click on the image you want to rate or comment on. Once on the image page look beneath the image and you will see a post comment section and a rate drop down box.
To rate an image click the drop down box and select a number 1 – 5, 5 being the best, then click the rate button. To leave a comment add your comment to the post comment section fill in the verification code and click post comment.
How do I Contact another user?
When you have found a user you wish to contact you need to click on one of their images.
Once on their image click the users name underneath their image. This will display the users profile. Here you will see the users email address and website if they have chosen to publicly display it.
A user left a rude comment on my image, how can I remove it?
If a user has left an unwanted comment on one of your images you need to contact us so we can investigate it. If it is found to be rude or out of context we can remove it for you.
I can’t find a section that applies to my picture, can I add a section to the gallery?
If you can’t find a section that applies to your image you need to contact us to suggest the category to be added and we can add it to our database.
Lightbox is similar to a favourites section you would see on another site’s user area.
In your lightbox you can collect your favorite artists artwork for you to view and gain insipration from.
How do I add images to my lightbox?
Once you have found an image you would like to add to your lightbox you will see a lightbox button with a + symbol beneath that image. If you click that button the image will automatically be added to your light box.
How do I delete an image from my lightbox?
Go to your lightbox located on the left hand side of your gallery, click on the image you would like to remove. Beneath that image you will see a lightbox button with a cross symbol on it. Once you click that button it will remove the image from your lightbox.
How do I get my images awarded?

Can I link my personal site back to my community gallery?
Yes, we encourage users to share their artwork collection with others. All you need to do is copy the url of your profile page and send it to people.
To get to your profile page click on the ‘my profile’ link on the left hand side of the community page.
How do I see everything I have uploaded to the Art Squared Community?
Click on the ‘my profile’ link on the left hand side of the community page. This will take you to your profile page. At the bottom of your profile page you will see everything you have uploaded to Art Squared.
As well as collecting your favorite artwork and adding it to your Lightbox, you can also collect friends on Art Squared. "My friends" is the area all your friends contact and picture information is stored for you to find easily.
How do I add a friend to "my friends" list?
Find an artist you like or want to add. Go to their profile page and you will see a friend icon in the top right hand corner with a yellow plus sign on it. Click the friend button with the plus sign on it and the user will be added to you’re "my friends"’ area.
How do I delete a friend from "my friends" list?
In your "my friends" area find the user you wish to remove from your "my friends" area. Once you have located the user you wish to delete look to the far right of the users name. There you will see a friend button with a red cross on it. Pressing this icon will remove the user from your "my friends" list.
Art Squared Community Gallery Rules
Users must adhere to the site rules and regulations at all times.
Inappropriate content will not be tolerated, and will be removed immediately.
It may result in warning, suspension of your account, or banning from the site.
Inappropriate content includes: abusive language or obscene sexual content.
Nudity is acceptable in artistic form, but not pornographic.
Please report all questionable conduct to the site moderators.
Users may not post advertising of any type whatsoever.

How do I submit Artwork for the Art Squared book series?
All work submitted by registered users of the Art Squared community gallery are considered for book entry. However at certain points in the year we run promotions to encourage book submission. These will be displayed on the banner advertising throughout the site.
How do I get my artwork onto the entry gallery?
The Artwork you see in the entry gallery is randomly selected from our book database and populated into the entry gallery. If you are selected for the book you will more than likely appear on the entry gallery.
Is the book shown on the site the full version?
The book we show on the site is designed to give you a sneak peek at what you would be getting when you purchase the retail version.

There you will find all information on how to go about advertising on our site, including sizes formats, information and campaign pricing.
